Privacy policy

Last updated: August 3, 2026

You are on a demo installation. This document is the same one the real installation publishes, running on fictional data with no real patients: it does not apply here, and creates no obligation.

Human Rounds is a public good app, free and non-profit. This policy explains, in plain language, what we do and what we do not do with your data.

1. What data we handle

When you register and request an appointment, we save the data you enter: DNI (ID number), first and last name, date of birth, sex, a contact phone number and/or email, your address and city, your health insurance or prepaid plan (if you have one), and the image or PDF of the medical referral order you upload.

DNI Photo: if you take or upload a photo of the front or back of your DNI to complete the registration, we read it instantly to extract those details (name, DNI, date of birth, address) and we do not save the photo: only the data you complete in the form.

Health Insurance: to suggest your coverage, we check your DNI against the national health registry (SISA/PUCO, from the Ministry of Health). We only send the DNI; we save the listed health insurance only if you register the account.

We also save basic technical records (logs): date and time, IP address, and which page was requested. These are used to make the app work, to debug errors, and to prevent abuse.

2. What we use your data for

We use your data solely to:

3. What we DO NOT use it for

We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral analytics, market studies, profiling, nor do we sell or transfer it to third parties for those purposes.

4. Health data

The medical order and the reason for your request are sensitive health data. They are shared with the Ojo Manso Regional Hospital and the CAPS staff in charge of your care, and with the municipal health systems (including the Integrated Health History, HSI), for the sole purpose of providing the appointment and treating you.

5. Artificial intelligence runs on external servers

Human Rounds does not have its own artificial intelligence models. To read an order, respond in the chat, or summarize a clinical history, the text or image leaves the hospital and is processed on servers of external providers (currently the OpenRouter router and the provider of the model handling the request). These servers may be located outside of Argentina.

What leaves without your personal data. Before sending text to an external provider, we pass it through an automatic filter that replaces identifying information with generic tags: first and last names become [nombre], the DNI becomes [documento], and the same applies to phone numbers, emails, CUIL, and addresses. This filter is applied to the chat, the pre-interview, and the summary of your clinical history. The provider receives the clinical or administrative content, not who you are.

What leaves as is. The image or PDF of the referral order is sent without modification. Reading it in its entirety is precisely what the model is used for, and obscuring parts of a photo would make it impossible to verify that the order is valid. That image may contain your name, your DNI, your diagnosis, and the details of the professional who signed it.

We make a reasonable effort to anonymize, but we cannot guarantee the result. The filter is automatic: if you write your name with a typo, or if it appears inside scanned text, it may still pass through. If there is a piece of data you prefer not to leave the hospital, do not write it in the chat.

These providers process the text to return a response. We do not send them your data for profiling or advertising, and we do not control their internal policies. None of this is mandatory to receive care: you can request an appointment via the web and inquire at the front desk or by phone, without using the assistant.

6. Retention and security

We save the minimum necessary for the app to work and to manage your appointment. We take reasonable care, but as this is a prototype, no system is 100% secure. As stated in the terms, we do not assume responsibility for data loss or leaks.

7. Your rights

You can request to see your data, correct it, or delete it: write to us or visit the Ojo Manso Regional Hospital. The owner of personal data has the right to exercise the right of access free of charge at intervals of no less than six months (Law 25.326, article 14, paragraph 3). The Agency for Access to Public Information, the enforcement body of the law, handles complaints regarding non-compliance.

8. Changes

We may update this policy at any time. The current version is always the one published on this page.

9. Which installation this applies to

This policy governs the Human Rounds installation. It does not apply to Human Rounds demonstration installations, which operate with fictional data, do not treat real patients, and exist only to show how the system works.
